A verification checklist for AI research

Five checks that turn an AI-generated report into an input you can evaluate rather than a conclusion to copy.

TradingAgents Report editorial team ·

Check identity

Confirm company name, ticker, exchange and asset type. A correct company name cannot repair a report prepared for the wrong listing or share class.

Check timing

Confirm the analysis date and whether the cited evidence belongs before that boundary. Current market context is not a substitute for a historical report and an old report is not current market data.

Check source quality

Prioritize primary filings, dated market data and attributable news. Treat unsupported summary statements as leads to investigate, not evidence to rely on.

Check conflicts and omissions

Read the contrary case and note evidence that did not fit the final stance. Missing data, disagreement between analysts and uncertainty about a source are useful signals to retain.

Check your own decision boundary

A research report cannot know your objectives, tax position, liquidity needs or risk tolerance. Use it as research reference material and apply an independent decision process.
